Career Counselor: A Haiku (Some thoughts on my work)

I have been reflecting on the work that I do as a multidimensional career services professional. I provide career counseling, manage an internship program, engage employers, supervise staff, and create programming for a college. How do I summarize this succinctly and get to the bottom of why I do the work I do? I wrote a poem to explain. A haiku at that. According to the Academy of American Poets, "a traditional Japanese haiku is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Often focusing on images from nature, haiku emphasizes simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression." How much better to simplify work and life to a more natural state.
